 Explorations in the use of cardboard products architecture exist since 1940s. However, it was not until early 1990s, when Shigeru Ban's work emerged became a potential material for architecture. Since then, has been continuously growing worldwide, and buildings have now achieved important recognition. This article reviews works academic research professional architectural practice last eight decades to lay foundation designers get ahead Cardboard could contribute increase more environmentally friendly affordable because they are recyclable, low-priced, relatively good strength sustain loads, among other advantages construction.
